Diving at the 2024 Summer Olympics
Qualification
Qualifying Phase
The qualifying phase for diving at the 2024 Summer Olympics will begin in 2023. Divers will be able to qualify for the Games through a series of events, including the 2023 FINA World Championships and the 2024 FINA Diving World Cup.
A total of 136 divers will compete in the diving events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The quota places will be split equally between men and women, and each NOC can enter a maximum of two divers in each individual event and one pair in each synchronized event.
The host nation, France, will be automatically granted a quota place in each event. The remaining quota places will be allocated based on the results of the qualifying events.
Qualifying Events
The following events will be used to qualify divers for the 2024 Summer Olympics:
- 2023 FINA World Championships
- 2024 FINA Diving World Cup
- Continental Championships
- National Championships
Divers will be able to earn quota places for their NOCs by finishing in the top positions in these events.
Timeline
The timeline for the diving qualification process is as follows:
- 2023: FINA World Championships
- 2024: FINA Diving World Cup
- June 10, 2024: Deadline for NOCs to submit their entries
- July 26-August 11, 2024: Diving events at the 2024 Summer Olympics
Divers who qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics will have the opportunity to compete for medals in eight events: men's and women's individual 3m springboard, men's and women's individual 10m platform, men's and women's synchronized 3m springboard, and men's and women's synchronized 10m platform.
